It is generally agreed by those who do believe in this deity that it is a force of nature inside everyone and everything rather than just like. They speak the language of the high elves although there are tales of a magical language that was spoken in ancient times that has been lost with the lives of their ancestors. tales and prophecies of a messiah who will raise the dead and make the world perfect that has not come (ooo the main character?) This language was said to have brought creatures made of stone and mud to life to defend their settlements They are not related to the high elves and they don’t come from an alternate dimension like hell, they’re earthly creatures, they’re just assholes.ĭybbuk are also a thing in this universe. Think chaotic neutral/evil whereas high elves are lawful evil. Each goblin has one power that they can only ever use on one person who is not themselves. Once they’ve used it once, that person is the only person they can use it on. high elves magic is similar but they attune to one object rather than one person. all of them have Hebrew names (haven’t named the characters yet) goblins and orcs live together in small villages frequently ransacked by the high elves.
oh and also there is a coming of age ceremony of course where the towns spiritual leader blesses the young goblins and orcs. This is when goblins find out what their power is, and then usually decide who to use it on. There is a young goblin man (he escaped drowning because he is trans and the high elves don’t consider him male) living in a goblin/orc settlement. I haven’t named him yet but I’ve been calling him the necromancer for reasons that will become clear (if anyone has name suggestions lemme know). He is a good person at heart, but very fearful and not willing to risk his life for the greater good, at least at the beginning of the story. The necromancers mother is also a goblin, and she saved her power, which is shapeshifting one person, because she never knew anyone she thought needed it until she had her son, who is trans and has dysphoria. She uses her power to alleviate that for him. The necromancer has had his coming of age ceremony and found out that he’s (you guessed it) able to bring one person back from the dead. But he has not used it yet, knowing the gravity of this situation. Fast forward, he’s about 18-19 and the high elves have heard tell of his power. The high elf king is old and near death, so he sends his son to collect the necromancer and bring him to the palace to essentially prolong the kings life by bringing him back over and over again until the necromancer grows old and dies. Now enter the barbarian, also not yet named. He is apart of a resistance movement that has heard word from a spy that the high elves are plotting this with the necromancer. He tries to convince him to leave and join the resistance but the necromancer is too scared, and also does not have hope that things will get better if he does. He views the resistance as pointless and thinks that working within the kings law is a good way to affect change. So the barbarian organizes a team to ambush the cart that is set to bring the necromancer to the palace, and nearly succeeds, until the high elf prince kills him. Instinctively, because he is a good man at heart, the necromancer brings the barbarian back to life. Other things that exist in this fantasy universe The two escape, hijinks ensue, and they overthrow the tyrannical government together. Pirates and sailors that have crews made almost exclusively of gay men.
